Afghanistan

Uncertainty and disruption have displaced around 500,000 people in Afghanistan, and thousands more refugees are currently arriving from Pakistan in need of immediate aid. Many brothers and sisters who have lived through the last 20 years of war have now been left without food, water, or medical care. Children are the ones most at risk in what is known as the worst humanitarian disaster in history.

Over 20 million children are in desperate need of help. Without immediate action, approximately 1 million children are vulnerable to losing their lives. In October 2023 a series of devastating earthquakes have killed more than 2,000 people in the Herat province of Afghanistan and left many families homeless.
